The last of the interior walls are now up, so we are ready for the electrician to start tomorrow.

Not a whole lot to show with pictures, but a lot is being done. The plumbing and heating are progressing with the electrical set to start later this week. Lights have been set up inside, so we can finally go to the house on a weekday without having to worry about interupting the work. We also still haven't passed court in Ethiopia. We're trying to wait patiently which is a lot easier said than done. The third and final bathtub is in - this one in the basement

One final post in 2011. I had an amazing time in Africa and hopefully I(we)'ll be going back soon. We have not yet passed court, but we anticipate we'll receive that news soon. Back in Charlevoix, the roof is on the new house and the windows are in. The siding should be going up shortly and the heating and plumbing has already begun on the interior.

It's been a little while since we've posted, so here's a few pictures taken this afternoon. The roof is just about up and somehow we have yet to get any snow. Life is hectic in Charlevoix, so the posts may be more spread out for a while. I'm set to leave for Ethiopia next week Friday and am extremely anxious to meet our little girl.

A month from today we'll begin our journey to Africa. The house has become some what of an after thought over the past few weeks, but the work continues.

The trusses have been delivered and will be going up on either Friday or Monday. You probably guessed this, but those white specks are snowflakes. And yes, I biked there in the snow.
The second floor is finally taking shape. The exterior was framed in today and tomorrow the interior walls should go up and we will be able to get a sense of the girls' rooms.
