Nearly Finished

It's been forever since we posted anything new.  We're hoping to be finished next week, we'll see....

The first coat of paint is on the walls and it's looking good. Addy absolutely loves her room color. Once she saw it she said "thank you Daddy for painting my room."

Friday night we got pounded with a late season snow storm. At the new house we got over a foot of fresh snow. Today, Sunday, is beautiful sunny day which has helped remind me why we live in Northern Michigan. Below are a few pictures at the new house, mostly outside but a couple indoor shots too.

We continue to wait on our final few steps of the adoption process, but things continue to proceed at the house. The geothermal furnace is in, the ceilings have been drywalled, the walls have been insulated, and the siding continues to go up. Things are looking good.

The siding has begun to go up and we are very pleased with how it is looking so far. The insulation guys start tomorrow and then drywalling should start some time next week. It's starting to come together nicely. Hopefully in 3 months we'll be in the house and can give all our attention to our growing family.

The last of the interior walls are now up, so we are ready for the electrician to start tomorrow.

Not a whole lot to show with pictures, but a lot is being done. The plumbing and heating are progressing with the electrical set to start later this week. Lights have been set up inside, so we can finally go to the house on a weekday without having to worry about interupting the work. We also still haven't passed court in Ethiopia. We're trying to wait patiently which is a lot easier said than done. The third and final bathtub is in - this one in the basement
